HM the King inaugurates library of Hassan II Mosque
Casablanca - HM King Mohammed VI inaugurated on Friday in Casablanca the Hassan II mosque library built for a 200 million dirhams (about $ 24 million)
On this occasion, the Sovereign visited the various facilities and structures of this new cultural landmark constructed over a 12 400m2 area.
The library includes 860 seats, 107 work stations hooked to Internet and some 200 000 documents covering all human sciences and academic disciplines.
This modern three-storey facility also comprises spaces for children & youngsters, auditorium, conference room, exhibition hall, a center for neighborhood associations and cultural activities.
This library was set up as part of the programs launched to promote reading, encourage education and upgrade the cultural infrastructures in Casablanca.
