US Assistant Secretary for Economic, Energy and Business Affairs, Jose W. Fernandez, will visit Morocco on December 6
Washington - US Assistant Secretary for Economic, Energy and Business Affairs, Jose W. Fernandez, will visit Morocco on December 6-7, US Department of State announced on Wednesday
The visit is part of a tour in North Africa that will also lead the US official to Tunisia, Libya and Algeria where he will take part in a conference on US-Maghreb entrepreneurship.
The tour aims at "promoting a new U.S.-North Africa public-private partnership focused on boosting economic opportunity."
Fernandez had participated in the World Economic Forum (WEF), held in Marrakech on October 26-28.
In an interview with French-speaking daily "l''Economiste", Fernandez said that Morocco is a “privileged and long-standing partner for the United States,” adding that his country “has very good bonds with Morocco and looks to further consolidate partnership ties.”
