Paris - The French authorities have categorically denied, on Friday, any intervention to put off or cancel the Rabat Mawazine Festival, as has claimed a London-based Arabic-speaking paper "We categorically and formally deny such rumors," said the spokesman of the French Foreign Office, Bernard Valero, in response to a question about the possible involvement of Paris in this regard.
"Such a major artistic event will be, no doubt, a huge success," he added.
Valero also reaffirmed "France's full support for Morocco and its confidence in the ability of the people and authorities to carry out, in a spirit of responsibility, the reform process to which the country is committed."
Mawazine festival "Rhythms of the World" runs from May 20 to 28 in Rabat with the participation of a galaxy of world stars, including Yusuf Islam and Shakira.
