Morocco News central: France's DIs in Morocco up 40% between 2006 and 2009 -Survey France's DIs in Morocco up 40% between 2006 and 2009 -Survey ================================================================================ redaction on 28/06/2010 22:00:00 Casablanca - Morocco is the first destination of France's direct investments (DIs) in MENA region and Africa, with these investments rising by 40% between 2006 and 2009, according to a survey on French investments abroad Dominique Bocquet, head of the economic department at France's embassy in Rabat, noted at the presentation of the survey on Tuesday, that the number of French companies in Morocco jumped from 529 to 750 over the reporting period. The survey also suggests that Morocco figures on top of the list of emerging countries receiving French investments, along with India and China. In terms of the value of accumulated investments, the north African state comes first with ¤8.1 billion in 2008, a threefold increase over the past four years, against ¤6.9 billion for China and ¤1.9 billion for India.
