Rabat - H.M. King Mohammed VI has talked over the phone with French President Nicolas Sarkozy about benefiting Morocco from the French expertise in the field of fighting A/H1N1 flu

Following these talks, French authorities dispatched two experts to inquire about Morocco's efforts to face this pandemic, a press release of the Health Ministry said on Wednesday.

The French experts were informed about the epidemiological situation in the country and the medical measures and strategies to take charge of the infected people.

They also visited several health institutions and the Mohammed V airport in Casablanca to enquire about the monitoring means, in addition to the department in charge of people infected with the virus at Moulay Youssef hospital in the same city.

On this occasion, the experts commended the kingdom's efforts to fight the pandemic and highlighted the positive role of the media in terms of information and awareness-raising about the disease and the prevention means.

They also presented suggestions to give fresh impetus to the national strategy to counter the A/H1N1 flu.

The flu toll in Morocco hit 35 cases, 28 of whom left hospitals fully recovered. The seven remaining cases are under treatment and show no serious signs.

The Health Ministry has decided to acquire 6 million vaccines, as part of its national strategy to fight the disease, without determining the date of production and marketing of the vaccines.
