Rabat - Morocco has achieved undeniable progress in several sectors that are vital to investment, which are not taken into consideration in the indicators of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Doing Business 2010 report, the World Bank has said

In its "Doing Business 2010" report, the IFC, of the World Bank, cited among this progress the important reform the kingdom has carried out this year in the field of access to information on credit.

Compared with the other countries of the MENA region, Morocco has also obtained "good results" in terms of administrative procedures, the "Reforming through Difficult Times" report said.

Morocco, which has improved its ranking in the Doing Business 2010 (from 130th to 128th), is also "relatively well ranked" in the indicators regarding starting businesses, obtaining administrative authorizations and import-export, the report said, adding that the Kingdom is in a position to improve business regulation and enhance the dynamism its economy is witnessing.

According to the report, the MENA region has witnessed the most sustained pace of business regulation reform in this year marked by the global financial downturn.
