Morocco launches swine flu action plan in higher education sector

Rabat - Moroccan National Education Minister, Ahmed Akhchichine, launched the action plan to fight against the H1N1 flu virus in the sector of higher education, a statement of the Ministry said

   Akhchichine, who chaired on Friday a meeting of the university presidents' conference with the participation of representatives of the Health Ministry and the central coordination office to combat swine flu (PCC), underlined the importance of the present academic year which coincides with the implementation of the university emergency program.

   The Minister voiced satisfaction with the excellent coordination between his department, the PCC and the Health Ministry to fight this disease.

   He called on all higher education actors to adopt the measures specified in the continuity action plan to reinforce the mechanism of prevention and face an eventual outbreak of the pandemic.

  The action plan mobilizes all possible means to provide education, training and social services to students in case of an epidemic.
