Around 35,000 protested on Sunday in different Moroccan cities- authorities

Rabat - Authorities estimated the number of protesters who took to the streets on Sunday in several Moroccan cities at 35,000

The protesters held peaceful demonstrations and rallies during which they raised banners and chanted slogans demanding good governance, price reduction and enhancement of social conditions.

The largest protest took place in Morocco's biggest city, Casablanca, where around 7,000 held a three-hour demonstration, while in Rabat 2,000 people rallied for four hours in front of the Parliament's headquarters, authorities said.

In Tangier, a peaceful demonstration brought together some 5,000, while in Marrakech, Agadir and Fez the number of protesters is estimated at 800, 1,500 and 1,500 respectively.
