Rabat - Special Olympics Morocco organized, on Thursday at the Mohammed VI national center for disabled persons in Sale (near Rabat), futsal and basketball events, under under the Honorary Presidency of HRH Princess Lalla Amina

Organized in collaboration with UNICEF as part of the celebration of National Day of People of disability, this sports event, intended for the athletes under 18 years, aims to promote team sports and boosting bonds of friendship and brotherhood between the players not mentally retarded and the athletes of the Special Olympics Morocco.

It brought together several futsal and basketball teams representing the Moroccan cities of Rabat, Guelmim, Sale, Tangier, Tetouan and Oujda.

The organization of this event is a prelude to the extension of the Special Olympics Morocco's activities as well as the integration of other sports in its annual programme, as part of the partnership agreement, signed last December, 22 with the UNICEF.
